They say a photograph tells a thousand stories and that is true, but it is my belief that a face has no ending to the stories it and its owner beholds. We only truly get to know a handful of people in our lives and so the overwhelming majority remain a mystery to us and the essence of a great portrait allows us, the assuming mysterious stranger to be provoked into the infinite stories of others.
